Engineering and IT jobs abroad for Pakistani professionals

Civil, mechanical, electrical and IT professionals from Pakistan work across the Gulf, Turkey and Malaysia. For engineers, getting your degree recognised is often the slowest step.

Roles we recruit for

  • Civil, structural and site engineers
  • Mechanical, electrical and HVAC engineers
  • Quantity surveyors and planners
  • Software developers, network and systems engineers
  • IT support and infrastructure technicians

What usually has to happen

  • Degree attestation: HEC attestation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the destination country's embassy.
  • Engineering recognition: PEC registration in Pakistan helps. Saudi Arabia requires accreditation with the Saudi Council of Engineers, and Kuwait checks degrees through the Kuwait Society of Engineers. Other countries have their own steps.
  • IT roles rely more on portfolio, interviews and certifications such as cloud, networking or security.
  • For technicians, Saudi Arabia's skill verification test may apply.

Where these jobs are

Demand is spread across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Turkey and Malaysia, usually tied to specific projects or companies.

How the legal route works

  1. A foreign employer sends a demand letter and power of attorney to a licensed promoter, and these are attested and approved in Pakistan.
  2. Shortlisting, interviews and any trade or skill test the employer or destination country requires.
  3. A medical examination (a GCC-approved GAMCA medical for Gulf countries), then visa processing.
  4. Registration with the Protector of Emigrants (BEOE): contract check, government dues, and a pre-departure briefing.
  5. Travel. The employer completes your residence and work permit formalities after arrival.

Fees, receipts and your passport

Under Pakistan's emigration rules, a licensed Overseas Employment Promoter (OEP) may charge a worker a service charge of no more than Rs 15,000, and must give you a receipt for it. Government dues (the BEOE emigration fee, the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation welfare fund and State Life insurance) are separate. They are paid into official accounts, and the Protector of Emigrants office will show you what each one is for.

Two rules worth remembering. No agent, including us, should ask you for more than the legal service charge or for cash with no receipt. And no agent should keep your passport. It's needed only for visa stamping and protector registration, and it should come back to you.

Before you pay anyone, check their licence number on the BEOE register of licensed OEPs. Our licence is OP&HRD/5245/RWP/2026. You can check it the same way.
